When did Legal 500 go woke and why? A few years ago it used to be a list of the market leaders. Now you have ropey high street firms with 2 staff listed. Any idea why they changed their approach? Is it considered fairer to list all firms regardless of expertise? Or has the business model changed?

Legalease is owned and run by sole director John Pritchard, the solicitor-cum-legal-directories-magnate. It also produces Legal 500, which RollOnFriday revealed last week had slashed staff pay indecently quickly.
